The Milford Market is opening for the season on the Victoria Day weekend with 20 local vendors offering art, photography, pottery, books, goats milk soaps and lotions, honey and beeswax candles, preserves, home baking, and more. Wellington Lions Dragon Boat Club

Dragon Boat

You are invited to join the Wellington Lions Dragon Boat Club every Monday and Wednesday for an hour of fun activity on the water starting at 5:40 p.m. at the Wellington Beach boat ramp. Three paddles are for free so that you can learn the simple techniques needed to enjoy the fastest growing sport for over 40 somethings. Paddles and personal flotation devices are available to borrow. All you need to bring is you!

The County Summer Car Boot Sale takes place every even Sunday during June, July, August and September at 768 County Road 12 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There will be used clothes, books, household items, furniture, antiques, and vintage items. Only $20 per car to sell your used stuff at this community yard sale. Proceeds go to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital building fund. Canning Jar Collection For Festival of Trees

Support the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary by donating small, clean mason jars in July, starting July 3rd and until July 16th. The jars will be filled with tasty condiments made from county produce and will be sold at the Festival of Trees in November 2018. Drop jars off at the Second Time Around Shop, 121 Main Street,  next to Tim Horton’s, in Picton. All proceeds will go to our hospital.

The musicians met while working at Wakami Lake Provincial Park in the 1980’s and have been crafting lively music about the history and wilderness of Ontario ever since. Food to Share is a grassroots initiative that addresses food insecurity in the County.
