The County Bounty Challenge

While some people see Prince Edward County as the land of plenty, people eating, drinking, and having a good time, others are not so lucky. All vacation rental owners are challenged to donate 1/2 their rental revenue from 1 night, Saturday, May 19th, to a County charity of their choice. Wellington, Belleville and Trenton Lions Clubs are holding Walk for Dog Guides on Sunday, May 27th. Nine and Dine Golf Day

Darren Williams & Wayne Boone Memorial Ride

Saturday, June 16th the First Canadian Army Veteran Motorcycle Unit, Afghanistan, will hold the Darren Williams and Wayne Boone Memorial Ride, starting at Hillier Creek Estates, 46 Stapleton Road in Hillier. Registration is from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Ride starts at 11:00 a.m. All donations from the ride will be used to provide care for Hercules, a Military Family Resource Centre Facility service dog.

Canning Jar Collection For Festival of Trees

Support the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary by donating small, clean mason jars in July, starting July 3rd and until July 16th. The jars will be filled with tasty condiments made from county produce and will be sold at the Festival of Trees in November 2018. Drop jars off at the Second Time Around Shop, 121 Main Street,  next to Tim Horton’s, in Picton. All proceeds will go to our hospital.

Cooking Workshops

Food to Share is a grassroots initiative that addresses food insecurity in the County. The group led by Glen Wallis takes food donated by various farmers and private residents and turns it into healthy, fresh food to be distributed through our local County food banks.
