Heather volunteers behind the scenes on research for Grapevine.
Heather grew up in Bowmanville and spent her working life in Toronto in project management, product development, marketing and communications. When she arrived 15 years ago , she found the county to be a perfect place with the draw of the small town, rural atmosphere she grew up in, a thriving art scene, wine, food, beaches – what’s not to love really.
Like many, she started as a weekender, initially in Picton 14 years ago, and then Wellington, which now, she calls her full-time home.
When Heather’s husband did the news on Monday mornings, she decided to help out too, but knew she didn’t want to be on air. Instead, she does research as well as set up interviews for Lynn Pickering’s Grapevine show on Mondays which she says keeps her abreast of current events in the County and is a great way to keep the brain working.
