Your radio station, and your hockey team. It’s the perfect fit.
99.3 County FM is the official voice of the defending Buckland Cup Champions, Wellington Dukes. It’s fair to say the Dukes are a County institution. Join us as Craig Foster delivers live broadcasts of all away games during the playoffs!
Join in and cheer the team who competed for the National Championship. Even more impressive is the attendance record, with The Dukes consistently drawing hundreds of rabid hometown fans.
99.3 County FM is broadcasting all weekend road games this season! With play-by-play provided by former OHL broadcaster and County FM News Leader Craig Foster. Craig grew up around the Duke’s franchise, and even played his own minor hockey in Wellington. His experience calling Junior hockey and local roots make him… well, a perfect fit.
Dukes Director of Hockey Operations Randy Uens says he thrilled to have County FM on board, especially that County FM has also committed to broadcasting playoff games. Having road game radio coverage dovetails nicely with the Dukes’ new in-game experience on home game-night, one that includes an expanded food and beverage service that would rival any OHL arena.
99.3 County FM past GM Deb Simpson says the Dukes broadcast fits the programming mandate of 99.3 beautifully… local content, broadcast by local people, to local people. Does it get any better?
The partnership between 99.3 County FM and the Dukes doesn’t end there. Look for the two sides working together on a number of Community projects in the coming months, and of course, listen for the games!
