Event date: September 10

Rain date: September 11

In association with 99.3 County FM, The Wellington Times  and Cobblestone Freeway Foundation, Station Road Arts Collective presents a special fundraising performance of The Boxcar Cowboy in support of the children of Ukraine.

Proceeds support art therapy programs for displaced Ukrainian children.

The performance is in Benson Park, Picton on Saturday, September 10 at 7PM. Bring chairs. Pay what you can. Support the displaced children of the Ukraine.

For Ukrainian refugees, and especially children, it is so difficult to adjust to a new life away from home.

Many refugees are still living hundreds of miles away from home, and children are without school or routine. Having a creative outlet can be amazing for the soul!

Ksenia and her team of volunteers in Kosiv, in the Carpathian Mountains, have been organizing creative classes for displaced children, to provide them with stimulating activities and to bring them some happiness during these difficult times.

Your donations will help us support Ksenia, her team and other art therapy programs for the children of Ukraine. Thank you.

THE BOXCAR COWBOY

The 1930’s. The dollar flatter than work at the cannery. Fifteen years old and no future in sight? Charlie would chase one to the end of the rail line that ran out of town.

From author Pierre Berton’s book on the Great Depression comes the legend of the boy from Prince Edward County, Ontario, who became known in every corner of the land as THE BOXCAR COWBOY.
