This Sunday December 8, 2019, join us for a full christmas day of fun in the hamlet of Consecon. There will be a parade which starts at 1:00 pm as well as other following community christmas fun events to take part in.
Starting from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, The Legion will be hosting breakfast with Mrs. Claus & Elves. The Consecon Legion hosts “Breakfast with Mrs. Claus and Santa’s Elves”, $5.00 for Adults, no charge for children 12 and under.
At 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, the Masonic Hall will feature kids activities such as crafts, face painting, balloon man and more, all at no charge. The Masonic Hall will have a reindeer feed station, card making by Whitney Shantz from the library, a craft table, balloons by Christopher the Twistopher & face painting by Natalie Stone. Everything is free!
Also, Consecon United Church will be holding a Bake & Craft Sale from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm and the Consecon Branch Library will offer an Arts & Crafts sale from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm.
The Consecon parade is open to anyone wishing to participate. Why not enter a float, drive the route in your classic car, come on horseback, or walk on your own or with a pet. Awards will be presented for most original float, the best band, the best horse and the best walker. There’s still time to be part of this annual County tradition. Being part of the festivities is easy, to register, either contact Amanda at (613) 661-9388 or by email amandanlaird@hotmail.com or you can just show up by 12 Noon on December 8th. at the junction of Consecon Main St and County Road 29 (formally Mill St.) in the village of Consecon.
Following the Parade, in the Masonic Hall, come and meet Santa who will be handing out chocolate Advent Calendars, and a bag full of goodies.
Post Parade, at 4:00 pm outside of the Legion please join us as we celebrate the official “Christmas in Consecon 2019” tree lighting ceremonies.
Come out and attend and/or participate, spend the whole day with us. Let’s make this parade, the best Consecon Santa Claus Parade ever!
There will be hot chocolate for the kids and Mrs. Claus will be making up cotton candy for the parade. After the parade kids can go to the hall and see Santa Claus.
