99.3 County FM and The Regent Theatre present
an EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PREVIEW of
NEVER SAW IT COMING
Starring Eric Roberts, Emily Hampshire and Katie Boland
County residents and visitors are invited to view NEVER SAW IT COMING at an exclusive sneak preview on Saturday, August 11 at The Regent Theatre, Main Street, Picton. The movie is based on the novel by best-selling author Linwood Barclay, who also wrote the screenplay, and is directed by award-winning director Gail Harvey. Harvey describes it as “a chilling story of double-dealing, violence and murder that will keep you on the edge of your seat with a roller coaster ride of the unexpected.” NEVER SAW IT COMING had its world premiere at the Whistler Film Festival, with the Festival praising it as “a very dark comedy, perfectly orchestrated by acclaimed director Gail Harvey, and wonderfully performed by an able cast. Hitchcock would be proud.” At the SOHO International Film Festival NYC in June, it was nominated for Best World Showcase Feature Film. NEVER SAW IT COMING will begin its theatrical release in Toronto’s Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas on August 17, 2018.
Barclay and Harvey have homes in The County and, along with producer Marina Cordoni, have offered this exclusive sneak preview of NEVER SAW IT COMING as a fundraiser for 99.3 County FM and The Regent Theatre. On Saturday, August 11th, the writer and director will host a reception for 50 patrons at 6 p.m. in the upstairs lounge of The Regent Theatre ($40 per ticket) as well as a question and answer session following the 7:30 p.m. showing of NEVER SAW IT COMING. ($20 per ticket plus tax and fees).
Deb Simpson, General Manager of 99.3 County FM, said “We are thrilled and thankful that Linwood and Gail have offered to host this special evening. As County residents, I know they recognize the contribution both 99.3 County FM and The Regent Theatre make to the community.” As not-for-profit organizations, both the radio station and the theatre rely on donors, sponsors and fund-raising events to sustain their programming. Neil Shorthouse, General Manager of The Regent Theatre said, “This year marks the 100th anniversary of The Regent and this will be the launch of our year of special events that go from this summer to next. We`re very pleased, particularly, to have local content and this one-of-a-kind event; a sneak preview of a major film.”
