The Rotary Clubs of Picton and Wellington, 99.3 County FM, Kinsman Club of Picton, Kiwanis Club of Picton, and Picton businesses Tim Horton’s and Home Hardware have jointly launched the Apricot Ribbon Program to pay tribute to our local health care team.
The Apricot Ribbon program is a tribute in honour to anyone involved with health care – doctors, nurses, technicians and support staff, therapists and paramedics, cleaning staff and practitioners who work and sacrifice every single day to keep us all safe.
You will see banners and signs displayed around The County. You’ll see announcements in the local press, and of course here on 99.3 County FM, the voice of The County.
The ribbons and signs are free to any and all who wish to use them to express their gratitude (while supplies last).
Here are some ways you can help our local Rotary, Kinsmen, and Kiwanis Club of Picton pay tribute to our local Health Care team:
You can participate by displaying an apricot ribbon, wrap it around your front yard tree, or front porch, or flag posts – you can pick them up free of charge at Home Hardware in Picton and Wellington, or Green Gables in Bloomfield, or Royal LePage PrAlliance at 104 Main Street in Picton.
Also, we invite you to tell us about your health care hero by sending a testimonial to Picton Rotary’s Facebook page.
The public is encouraged to nominate additional Health Care workers in the county to receive the same recognition as the hospital staff. Testimonials and nominations can be made on the Rotary Club of Picton Facebook page. We’ll honour that individual with a thank you note and gift card. Please help us celebrate our health care heroes.
