1st Annual Radiothon Wraps Up

Thank you, thank you, thank you

The station’s 1st Annual Radiothon was held throughout the month of May, starting on May 1st and wrapping up on Friday May 29th.

The goal of the Radiothon was raise $15,000 to help pay for part of the cost of emergency back-up generators for our studio and transmitter site.

We needed backup power generators so the station could stay on the air during power outages and other emergencies, when the station will be needed to provide information about what’s happening, and what to do.

The Radiothon wrapped up on Friday with an on-air 6 am to 6 pm marathon and a grand finale party in the County Farm Centre parking lot with music by ten top local bands and artists.

The campaign goal was $15,000 but thanks to the incredible generosity of our listeners and supporters, we actually raised more than $20,400.
