The Kick-off meeting of the planned County Community Radio Station took place on Wednesday, November 30th at The Bloomfield Town Hall. There were over 30 people in attendance and all were very enthusiastic about the proposed station and had varied and interesting ideas for programming.
Mayor Peter Mertens was in attendance and spoke briefly to the audience about his keen interest in the proposed station and promised to lend his support as Mayor in any way he could.
At this meeting the initial Board was elected and includes: Treat Hull, Doug Monk, Shelagh Mathers, Angela Stever,Mary Sinclair, Conrad Beaubien, Peter Flemming and John Mather.
This group will meet regularly getting the ground work done on applying for a CRTC license, developing a business plan and a programming plan; do a technical study and to incorporate until May, 2012 when a permanent executive will be elected at the initial Members Meeting.
