THE COUNTY WRITES….THE COUNTY READS
Two authors who will be at this year’s Authors’ Festival return to The County Writes…The County Reads. Andrew Forbes is the author of Field Work: On Baseball and Making a Living, a book of essays that explore baseball’s rich history, from the pioneers who built the early ballparks to minor-league players surprising part-time jobs to the parents who coach little league games. Shane Peacock, a multi-award winning author of Young Adult novels, introduces As We Forgive Others, the first book in Northern Gothic Mystery, a crime series for adults. County author and County FM volunteer, Ken Murray, hosts County Reads and introduces the participants and the books they’ll be defending.

Once, it was an important source of brook trout (AKA speckled trout) and it could be again.
