THE COUNTY WRITES….THE COUNTY READS
Repeat broadcast by popular request! Retired teacher and County resident, Gord Moran, published his entertaining memoir, Neither a Tomato nor a Brain, just a few months before he passed away on February 25. Just one day before his death, We Will Survive, the parody song he wrote about Trump’s threatened tariffs was produced by Wayne McFaul, Gord’s best friend of 70 years. Now, one month later, the song has received 1.5 million views on Jesse McFaul’s YouTube channel, a French version has been produced and a video featuring singer Sonya Zaback will be released soon. Hear Lynn Pickering’s interview with Gord about his book, (recorded February 11), and the story of We Will Survive from Wayne and Jesse. (Program first aired on March 9.)

Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory has a new winter research program to find out more about the snow bunting. Ashely Jensen, bander in charge at the bird observatory, will talk to Pamela Stagg about the new initiative — and what it’s like to band a bird that can’t take any heat in the winter.
