Participants in the June meeting made the following general comments.
- The County already has its own unique identity. Radio is another way to help it gain its voice.
- The station should be focused exclusively on the County – its residents and visitors.
- Community ownership: by the County; for the County.
- Timely information; unique content; reflecting the diversity of the County.
- When listening to the station, the person should feel “at home”.
- Collaborate with Internet content producers.
- Would like Council endorsement and support.
- Involve Loyalist broadcasting students.
- Contact County groups (e.g. Arts Council) for support and collaboration.
- Avoid conflict / competition for revenue with local broadcasting and print media.
- Investigate charitable status.
- Have storefront studios for visibility, integration into the community.
