Lin started at 99.3 County FM as a volunteer lending us her voice for commercials. She applied for the Traffic role and started working with the station as a part-time staff member in December 2019. As Traffic Coordinator, Lin’s main responsibility is managing the advertising schedule for the station.
She brings with her a varied skill-set steeped in digital media including content management, database management, creative writing, copywriting, social media, customer service management and business administration. In her spare time, she writes articles for community publications often interviewing local artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs.
Lin hails from the ‘mainland’ but fell in love with the county upon meeting her favourite ‘county boy’ and husband, Ben Parkin, back in the 90s. Having worked and lived in many cities across Canada, Lin says there is no better place than home to put down roots.
