Waupoos Estates Winery is the oldest winery in Prince Edward County
When chef Lilly Sullivan joined the team at the Gazebo Smokehouse restaurant, Kyle Baldwin, General Manager of Waupoos Estates, ran an ad with 99.3 County FM to get the word out and invite customers to experience their dinning experience.
“We saw a real increase in sales after we ran the campaign”

Ed Neuser, a German-born machinist who came to Canada in 1957, purchased the 100-acre farm century-old house in 1983.
Ed chuckles when he recalls the night that he and Rita decided to try planting grapes. “It was after a couple glasses of wine, or maybe it was a couple of bottles,” he jokes. “Everybody thought we were off our rockers – we had no experience growing grapes or making wines.”
Today their vineyards comprise almost 20 acres. They grow four red grape varieties and eight white.
Located just below the winery, overlooking Lake Ontario is the Gazebo Smokehouse Restaurant at Waupoos Estates Winery.
“Our focus is Farm to Table”
With a fully operational farm where they raise poultry and game birds, lamb, goats and rabbit, and several sections of garden and herb gardens located just across the street from the restaurant, you’re never a mile away from where the proteins and produce grow.
The Restaurant overlooking Prince Edward Bay is the perfect spot to enjoy the award winning wines by the glass, indulge in a light lunch or reserve for a fine dining experience.
The location’s vistas makes the vineyard a popular destination for parties, Vineyard Weddings or special events, which The Restaurant caters as well.
“Waupoos Winery advertises with County FM and I definitely recommend it to other local businesses.”
